Wal-Mart Stock - Buy One Share As A Gift
The world's largest retailer, Wal-Mart is now bigger than Sears, Kmart, and J.C. Penny combined. It wasn't always that way. In the beginning, the company's founder, Sam Walton, was just a small town merchant who owned a few variety stores in Arkansas and Missouri. His dream was to have customers flock to his stores because of the wide selection of merchandise and friendly service. When he was able to add low prices to the equation, the company began to flourish. Wal-Mart now operates over 3,400 stores including their signature retail stores, Sam's Club members-only bulk warehouses, Bud's Discount City deep discount warehouse outlets, and Wal-Mart Supercenters, which are combination discount retailers and grocery stores. The company's core strengths are its phenomenal growth, hometown identity, and its carefully controlled overhead expenses which keeps prices of its merchandise low. The company operates in the U.S., Puerto Rico, Mexico, Indonesia, Canada, Argentina, China and Brazil.
